I've had two kind of non-amazing experiences with this. My Jewish father in law had a seder with his wife's large Mormon family - one of whom was a Mormon bishop. Tho, the seder was technically my father in law's - he allowed the Mormons to participate (lead) way too much and it was cringe.
The other less about a seder but about a therapist my Jewish daughter had who represented herself as a Jew only to find out that she was a Jew for Jesus... it was borderline traumatic for my daughter.
Thank you SO MUCH for this post! The evangelical church I grew up in would host a “Christian Seder” reenactment that definitely included and centered Jesus. As a now-Progressive Christian Agnostic, I doubt Jesus would’ve wanted a Seder that centered him.
Jesus would also be very confused because our Seders now are so completely different from what he would have experienced as a Second Temple Jew. He would have no clue what's happening!
